Global Surge in iGaming App Downloads in 2024

A recent AppsFlyer report reveals a remarkable rise in iGaming app downloads during 2024. Betting app downloads increased by 93%, while online casino apps experienced an astounding 102% growth.

This growth highlights the increasing demand for mobile casino software, which plays a critical role in powering the seamless gaming experience players expect.

Total spending on mobile app advertising grew by 5%, reaching $65 billion for the year. However, iGaming companies cut their advertising budgets for casino apps by 12%.

Australia emerged as the leader in boosting iGaming advertising budgets with a 7% increase, while the US saw a decline of nearly 7%. The steepest drops in ad spending were observed in France (14%) and Japan (23%).

The AppsFlyer analysis, based on data from 35,000 apps and 140 billion downloads, offers a comprehensive insight into current trends within the mobile gaming industry.
